My Place is all about your relationship in a group of Christ followers.
My Place groups are springing up around New Orleans. The groups are only 10 to 15 people who gather once a week to share life and fine tune what it means to follow Jesus. Each group is very different. This is the way we “do church” in Origins. Most people attend the group nearest their home, but you can bounce around and get acquainted.
Our small churches are committed to providing a non-judgmental environment where questions and doubt are part of living life together. If you are exploring who God is, or finding your way back from hurt and disappointment, come grab a seat on the couch.
My Place might sound like a place you go to get what you need. On the contrary, My Place is where you go to give yourself away. Giving yourself away is the only true way to find out who you were created to be. God set the example. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” (John 3:16-17) You will share life with a small group of people who live to give themselves away to honor the God who loved them first.
Origins is a very different environment.
